DAVID McNAMARA as Michael Phillips

David McNamara is a Melbourne-based performer and theatre maker. Since graduating from the Ballarat Arts Academy in 2013, David has performed with the Present Tense Ensemble, the hearsay theatre group, and FRED the ALIEN Productions in a variety of roles. David’s interactive theatre work Platformia runs monthly at The Owl and Cat Theatre in Richmond.

 

 

 

 

 

 


Ryan

 

RYAN STEWART as Phillip Michaels

Ryan Stewart is a Melbourne-based actor, currently studying at Melbourne Actor’s Lab. He has appeared in a number of short films and stage productions, including the upcoming Take a Seat at Chapel off Chapel and Spring Awakening for BYTE. He is also currently completing a Bachelor of Arts in English/Theatre Studies and Screen/Cultural Studies. Ryan is excited to be making his Fringe debut with FRED the ALIEN Productions.

Anna

 

ANNA REARDON as Tally Wolfeschlegelsteinhausenbergerdorff

Anna Reardon is a passionate performer and graduate of Federation University’s Acting course. Since moving to Melbourne, Anna has played a multitude of roles on both stage and screen. Recent credits include Peaked Caps and Khaki by Wordsmith Theatre and A Midsummer Night’s Dream by Backyard Theatre Ensemble. She is excited to be a part of the Michael and Phillip team and hopes that you enjoy the performance.

BETHANY GRIFFITHS as The Bride

Bethany Griffiths is an actor from Melbourne’s west, who has studied at Greentree Actors Studio and Victoria University. She has a degree in Theatre and Fine Arts. In recent years, she has participated in three consecutive Melbourne Fringe Festivals, performing in Boxed In, The Writer, and now Michael and Phillip Are Getting Married in the Morning. She is excited to participate in another Fringe show and hopes you enjoy the sweaty, polyester, wedding dress that she was made to wear.

 

 

 


Hayden Gridley

 

HAYDEN GRIDLEY as Simon

Marking his Melbourne Fringe debut with FRED the ALIEN Productions, Hayden Gridley is an actor and model who graduated from The Australian Film & Television Academy in 2015. With a solid background in musical theatre, previous lead and supporting roles include Nick Piazza in Fame (Lumina Theatre Company), Pvt. Stevens in Dogfight (Fab Nobs Theatre Company), and Aaron Schultz in Legally Blonde (NOVA Theatre Company).

When he isn’t pouring time into his craft, some of Hayden’s favourite hobbies include donating plasma with the Red Cross Blood Service, watching old Whose Line is it Anyway? episodes, and constantly searching for the best burger in Melbourne.

BEN CAMPBELL as Blaine Phillips

Ben Campbell is a member of the FRED the ALIEN team and is best known to FRED fans as Malcolm on the web series UNI-Bums. He has appeared in the short film Lover of Death as well as an assortment of plays.

Michael and Phillip Are Getting Married in the Morning marks Ben’s Melbourne Fringe debut.


Jeffrey

 

JEFFREY BRYANT JONES as Graeme Phillips

Jeffrey Bryant Jones is an actor, director, and writer. He graduated from The Actors’ Mill in Sydney in 1981 and has been involved with a wide range of plays over the years. Jeffrey retired from his job as a full-time newspaper editor last November to focus on acting and theatre. Since then, he has performed in a growing list of short films, TV shows, and recently spread his wings to do voice-over work and appear in a music video. Jeffrey is also the Artistic Director of Hobo Playhouse, which is based in Central Victoria.

Phillip Hunting

 

PHILLIP HUNTING as Father Rob

Phillip Hunting: Actor, writer, and idiot at large. Born of modest parental units, his background includes a Diploma of Theatre Arts, Bachelor of Arts in Writing (2015), and the writing and directing of FRED the ALIEN’s 2015 hit The Writer.  His foreground is to create great works for Australian stage, film, and radio. Phillip’s inspirations are Spike Milligan and the Goons, Barry Humphries, and of course, the mad world around him. He is excited and just a little bit chuffed to be returning to Melbourne Fringe this year as producer, assistant director, and actor in Wayne Stellini’s Michael and Phillip Are Getting Married in the Morning.
